Tom Cruise – Katie Holmes – Wedding Portrait
The celebrity power couple are calling it quits.
According to an exclusive article on People.Com, Katie Holmes has filed for divorce.
“This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” says Holmes’s attorney Jonathan Wolfe. “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”
The Tom Cruise Reps are also asking for privacy.
Are they kidding?
All of a sudden now, Tom and Katie desire privacy. Puhleeze! They have been married for 5 years and have happily spent all five of those years in the public eye. They love having the spotlight on themselves and their daughter.
I don’t expect that to change. I have no doubt they’ll handle this divorce with as much decorum as Tom showed hopping up and down like a deranged bunny on Oprah’s sofa.

I was sort of expecting it? Theirs was a whirlwind romance and she was young. When a woman has a child, her priorities change. It’s always going to be about the child whether she still loves her husband or not. Personally I’m betting the cause is that scientology thing.

Even before this news came, I have read in a separate article not so long ago that Katie Holmes feels bad towards her ex-husband because Cruise has been promising her big roles on screen. But none came. She’s an actress and I could say a good one at that. She has been a good mom to Suri (of which a lot of photos are always seen with the two of them together) but she’s screaming I’m an actress and I want to act! But Cruise isn’t listening at all. Oh well, celebrity life as we know it.
Girl you are on it. If I had heard from my mom first, I would have heard it here. I can’t say I’m shocked but I still was like, “What!?” I hope it stays clean. The first thing that came to mind is if he started acting like the character for his newest movie. That person would be hard to live with. I’ve heard that good actors become there person they are playing.
