Tribal Jewelry pops in and out of style just about as often as blue eye shadow. I like blue eye shadow on some people, but I love tribal any thing, so the  fact that it’s trending again makes me happy.

Trivia question: Did you know Jaqueline Onassis collected tribal art jewelry?

If you did, then you’re one up on me because I  didn’t know it. And honestly, I’m having a hard time picturing Mrs. Onassis in anything other than those pearls she was famous for. According to an article on artnet.com, Andy Warhol and Audrey Hepburn were collectors as well.

I believe the reason the tribal trend keeps resurfacing (aside from the fact that it’s beautiful) is no matter what your personal style may be, finding jewelry you like is pretty easy.  Tribal inspired jewelry runs the gamut; from big and clunky to small and elegant and everything  in between.

Personally I prefer big, bold, colorful pieces. You know the kind that scream at you from across the room? I love them! Here are a just a few of the pieces that can be found on the web.

  1. So glad that tribal is in now. Time to put out my natural gem stone collection on a necklace parade!
