Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara

Before all of you lovely fashionista start nagging me about reviewing a ‘not so new’ product, let me explain.

Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara got terrible reviews when it was introduced. I figured I’d save myself a headache and a little money by not buying it. I ended up with it in the makeup box because I just can’t resist a sale, especially if cosmetics are involved. Last week Rite Aid had a lot of makeup brands on sale and of course I picked up a few things that I will eventually get around to trying. Revlon Grow Luscious mascaras were 70% off. I could not tell you what the regular price is because the only thing I saw was the little yellow tag that said 70% and I grabbed it!

Revlon claims: “The first Revlon mascara that helps lashes grow stronger while visibly adding length and volume. Lash enhancing formula complements the natural growth cycle of your lashes, improving their overall appearance and conditioning with each use.”

It wasn’t until I got home that I realized, I had the plumping, waterproof variety. Okay, I tried it… and fell instantly in love with the way my eyelashes transformed into some beautiful flowing things I didn’t recognize. Yes. Love at first sight, but I wasn’t going to give it a thumbs up that quickly. I understand the importance of spending a little time in the getting to know you stage.

Final thoughts

I still love it. I’ve experienced none of the flaking, clumping issues other reviewers complained of. I’ll let you know about the claims Revlon makes about growing longer, stronger lashes.

Live Beautifully!
