Jennifer Hudson Collection.Giavanne's Gems

I admire Jennifer Hudson.

She’s smart, talented, and strong. When three members of her family, including her mother, were killed by an idiot with a grudge and a gun, she suffered through it with strength uncommon in one so young.

When she decided to lose weight, she did it.

Now she has decided to enter the fashion arena by designing a line of women’s clothing for QVC. The Jennifer Hudson Collection will be available in September.

In an interview with  Essence.com, she was asked: What inspired you to start the collection?Jennifer responded:

Well I’ve always had a love for clothes and the opportunity came about for QVC, for me to, I call it — “Jennifer-izing,” — share that style. And I have so many fans that are like “man, I would love to have this or wear that, but I can’t afford that.” So I make it affordable for everyone else. Some pieces are literally taken out of my closet and re-created at an affordable price for every girl.

In the same interview, she told Essence how important it is for her that her clothing fit every woman no matter her size.

I tried to keep every girl in mind with every piece. I want the size 6 to be able to wear what the size 16 is wearing and vice versa, and they both look good. That was my goal.

Take a peek at a few of the items in her collection below. Leave a comment and tell me what you think!

Live Beautifully!
