Azature’s Black Diamond Nail polish costs $250,000 a bottle, contains 267 carats of black diamonds and is the most expensive nail polish in the world, at the moment. I’ve no doubt others will follow. Why? Because this guy has come up with a brilliant marketing stategy. Think about it for a moment…

Have you ever heard the name Azature prior to the unveiling of this uber expensive nail lacquer? Neither had I, but in the month since this product was launched, “black diamond” has become a contender for the number one spot in nail trends.

While my readers are mostly unique, stylish women who are old enough and bold enough to create their own style regardless of whether they are considered “trendy,” the masses will follow whatever happens to be considered fashionable at the moment – especially if celebrities they admire are wearing it. And the rich and famous are sporting black diamond manicures all over the place right about now.

Unfortunately the only requirement for most celebs is that a product be ridiculously expensive. It doesn’t have to make sense. It just has to cost a lot of money and they will buy it… and lots of women will follow their lead.

Azature, a jeweler based in Hollywood (of course) who has dubbed himself “Black Diamond King,” was astute enough to tap into the enormous wanna-be market by creating a cheaper version of his polish for the 99 % of the population who can’t afford the real deal. Azature is offering a tiny 0.5oz “budget friendly,”version of his polish which cost $25 and contains one black diamond.

Whoosh! Can you hear those tiny bottles of nail polish flying off the shelves? I can.

Women all over the world, even those who wouldn’t ordinarily wear black nail polish will be flicking black diamond, lacquered nails and dropping the name, “Azature.”

Brilliant!

 Live Beautifully!

  7. WOW! I will admit I never heard of black diamond nail polish before this post. It sort of takes black nail polish to a whole new level. I can’t imagine that brushing diamond particles over your nails is very good for them probably really scratches them which would make it harder to have an even finish. I have a hard enough time trying to get any polish with glitter in it to dry evenly think i will be passing this trend up.
